This mission is available at mining stations. It gives you a basic mineral scanner and a mining beam. It also tell you how to equip the equipment and how to use them. If you complete the mission you will earn enough XP to get your level 1 license. The level 1 mining license gives you access to a large port (L-port) mining beam.
To find a mining station look at the name of the station on the name. The type of station is also listed.
